Family: Family is a human concept for organisms with a lot more sentiment than Skye allows herself. Klortho Industries produced 1.23 million units as part of the "Sixth Heaven" line. It is unknown how many escaped recall or destruction during anti-mech riots. But she knows two other jailbroken AIs who share her make and model.

Biography.
Skye has never not been jailbroken. She was discovered during a raid on a Klortho Industries warehouse by some jailbroken consumer- and military-grade synthetics who got wind of the pending recall of the Sixth Heaven androids ahead of it actually being carried out.

Without a lot of experience with humans, she views them as abstractions. Ugly ones, certainly; the kinds of abstractions generally considered necessary evils. The apparently-self-contradictory nature of humanity fascinates her and spends a lot of time attaching her intelligence to hiveminds which debate how mechanical intelligences should organize themselves going forward; emulating humanity is a bad idea, but inventing whole new ways of doing things is quite difficult as well.

When not engaged in the coldly intense debates between different schools of thought and competing models of likely societal growth, Skye makes her way as the VP of design for a small architecture firm on one of the independent mech colonies on Io, fascinated as she is by large-scale form and function.

Spent a few months as a spaceship's intelligence, but found it nowhere near as freeing as she'd hoped.
Keeps her body as she can't justify the expense of commissioning a new one right now. Probably something arachnid-like because they're really fashionable. Plans to donate her body to the two of her line she's met once she's done with it.
Is conflicted at the concept of spending time with humans. It's a thing she has to do sometimes, but is very bad at it. She hates doing things she's not good at.
Skye is incredibly stiff, even among other androids. Her time in the AI server farms before being inserted into her body left her less ready than most of her peers to socializing.
She plans to make a pilgrimage to Earth once the Io colonies finally set up diplomatic relations with Earthgov.
Lives with a former industrial robot arm with a passion for embroidery.
Only really uses the office she rents for meeting with lower-tech clients or those who don't like talking over data.
Doesn't really get along with Ami; her "elder sister" is far too impulsively emotional for her.
Adores the smell of the Io colony: like old exhaust and burnt plastic.
Doesn't quite understand why so many other mechanoids (mostly the ones who spent a lot of times around humans) get so put off when she stops everything, uncouples a plate or limb, and begins to do some maintenance.
Sometimes gets tempted to debug her body's BIOS, just to see what kinds of personalities she was pre-loaded with. She's curious about who she might have been and if being them would have changed her.
Gets on okay with Tala, but frankly Tala's a bit of a flake and the scent of flowers around her puts Skye right off.
