Sooo this is Ven, you can totally trust her with your secrets and life. The main idea behind Ven is she’s a character made by a young child which became twisted over the years. Her form now uses the innocence from years ago from the child for her advantage at putting people into a false sense of hope and innocence while she parasites the victim for consumption or for survival. She resembles features from a Venus flytrap, sweet but deadly, especially when she herself attacks.

Sooo there was going to be a second picture to her but I ended up loosing interest soooooo sorry ... you get one. Also, I maaaaay be making one or two more pictures of character designs for different projects :l... so yeah! I can’t really say much about Ven or her world because it’s a project I want to make one day, when I say that, like a video game. I can say that it is a psychological horror which mixes the 2nd and 3rd dimensions with deception and corruption being a few of the themes. I don’t know if it will ever be created but I really hope it does one day.

Now, onto Ven’s design. She’s SOOOO CUTE I CAN’T OMG AHHHHHHHH!!! I intentionally put hearts everywhere and I really like her eyes! One thing which got me a little disappointed at first was not making her head bigger. I wanted her to be intentionally disproportionate and exaggerated to make her look cute and childish. It’s fine now, I still like her, her head’s already pretty big anyway. The eyes, oh the eyes, they are big, anime and I love them. Look at how shiny they are! The first thing I could think about her is large, sharp, bright blue eyes. I love how you focus on them almost immediately and puts focus on her. They’re adorable but menacing and you can tell that alone from her eyes. The darkened pink on the top half of her face is a bit similar to that thing anime does when someone’s stressed or holding something back. That’s why it’s there. I just wanted to say cuz it looks a bit like a scratch on her. Her heart on her shirt being on the wrong side is intentional to show how she understands nothing about human anatomy, which ends up paying off for something. She just has trouble written everywhere on her. That face she’s making in the image, she makes that face everywhere for everything. I hope you find her cute but also unsettling, that’s the whole point of her design. Now the colour, this took a little more thought. I first imagined her with a bow and red dress with black hair. I instead wanted her to stick to colours like green and purple to stay closer to what Venus flytraps look like but also make her look different. I’m glad I coloured her like this, it’s so good! I love her green and purple gradient which look GREAT together. All the colours balance each other out and look perfect! The background is pretty simple but I still like it, behind her are some scribbles of old drawings. The orange and the brush I used even makes the background look like fire. That’s also kewl! I love this so much! I’ve been so happy for Cleo and Ven because they both look so nice in their designs, backgrounds, colours, personality, I just AHHHHHH I love them! I hope you like her!
