Β I would love a blue/purple carpet of flowers, rather than this one.Β But, what was really the color in the original landscape?

what "original landscape" are you referring to, svp?
This "clearing" is imaginary, Dear

Β You didn't start from a picture?? The dark "sous-bois" is very good, thick and mysterious.. It deserves something else than pink fleurettes! I wish I could stand by you to get into your work....We would set up a famous team!Β

Yes, it would be pleasant to have you standing by...
as we collborated.... but.... what if we differed
re what to do? ....and....any art takes me
an age, even for a small addition/object....
my process would make such collaboration
problemmatical....the type of collaboration that has
worked well for me, is to provide for another
artist an idea for a background -
- and - perhaps an actual object
or two for the background -
and perhaps a figure or two for the foreground...
....and for me to furnish the final foreground,
and perhaps modify anothers background....
This collaborationhas been comparitively rare
- primarily my SM-theme-aesthetic - but
those collaborations have been popular...
Nope, no picture...just imagination for this...
But the flowers are from a photo taken in Monterey....
and the trees are from some in the Santa Cruz Mountains,
but twisted and colored with PS... this
Β imaginaryΒ "clearing" has probably
been my most popular work, bar none - and its been
the most conventional....

Β It was just what I meant: providing new ideas without interfering into your work... Do you fear that I suddenly appear at your door and say: "let me a place!
Β I'm going to tell you what to do! "Β ? ... A few chances that I ever arrive at your door, don't be afraid!
Β I would have been pleased to draw beside you - and your computer. Just a dream.*
Β The devil take me if I understand your last sentence!Β Β ..my SM aesthetic collaboration?Β ..very popular??

Very beautiful. Β I would think a print of this would sell well.

Thank you
Actually, its almost the only thing on DA that
I've sold...what really sells are very large prints
or prints on fabric or glass...and I haven't been
able to do those for several years now...
I sold all I could make of those...
I really should make more pastoral scenes...
most seem to like 'em...I just want to avoid
Kincaide-ishness ...

In this, I did try to avoid making "decorative"
art, a la very popular artists...

Again, many thanks. Crits are always welcome.
This is the kitschyist and least suggestive work
I have done - it is probably the
most popular...the many-layered outre works I have done
are also relatively popular.... and.... provocative...

Well thanks...It is on my agenda, along with a California scene, for my next visit to the printer... am trying to find affordable
appropriate fabric... you may see that my first print on fabric
turned out surprisingly well!
