Media Recipe: 95% Crayolas 1% ballpoint pen 4% my little secret...Creativity: Infinite.
tips: using crayons means using layers so soft strokes is key. also start with light colors first and work your way to the shadows at the end. i started this piece using the peach color crayon to make the outline and figure.

Good guess! The veins are in crayon. The lashes on top are as well. The lashes in the iris some are pen as well as some of the tiny details in the iris

just a suggestion here but it will be cooler if you draw a silhouette in the eye, as if, casting reflections.

I love when artists make such masterpieces using materials that many others label as "inferior." I'm very impressed by the reflection of light in the iris.
