Description
No, I am not your shadow and you are not my light.Β And you certainly could not see me in this darkness I call body and which you recognize as voice.Watercolors / 36x50cm/ extremely bad photo/ surreal days.
I'm extremely frustrated with the quality of this image, the colors are off and the watercolor smoothness was replaced by spots. And I've just realized that you can't see the purples at all!
I've uploaded a different photo in my Scraps, but that one is also inaccurate.. Β *runs away crying*

Ooh, wonderful impact! It's like diving into a magical whirlpool, all those rich hues of blue... And the white figure and white specks like snow add to the peculiar sense of space and movement. I come to think of diving deeper within through illusions, but that may be just my association. It makes me feel oddly inspired and uplifted. Do you ever sell your paintings? I think I could spend a whole lot of time looking at your work.

Thank you. I'm thinking of painting the moving/twirling shades again, this theme offers many possibilities.
I actually think of it not only as a depiction of an outside space but also of someone's inner. I like your perception also, it's what I have in mind but translated in different words.
I don't sell my paintings but I think I will have to, soon enough. For me it would be ideal only to show them to as many people as possible without ever losing them (although I'm not actually looking at them myself. Ever.)
Now that you said that you're looking closely at my paintings I feel embarrassed of my average skills

Hmm, I suppose the shades is one reason why it's so easy to imagine being pulled into the vortex, as you can see it happening almost like in an animation... I can understand the need to keep your paintings close. What about prints? And hey, your skills are definitely not average. Instead of picking on small details I dwell on the atmosphere and energy of the drawing. It's like a real place onto itself.

The atmosphere and the energy of your drawing are all that matters, without them there would just be pretty lines on a paper. And it's definitely important to be aware of the message we're sending.
Ah yes, I'm my greatest critic and I can't help myself sharing that with everybody. My thoughts are stronger than my conscience.

Hmm, perhaps you could take your art to a photo shop or a printing shop and let them produce a high quality file or prints? The digital representation of traditional art can be tough, I know. I hate scanning watercolors, something is always off.

There is one shop who scans large drawings but when it comes to textured paper the results aren't satisfying. Not to mention that it's only opened until Friday and I'm at work all day.
You're right, I should try to see them through my friends' eyes, after all, my drawings are representations of me. An if anyone likes a bad scan or photo of them it's even better

I like this concept, the movement as always is awesome. I understand your frustration-- lots of color nuances are completely lost in translation to computer images, however even in blues and greens, this is beautiful. I love seeing that little glimpse of your studio!
