Description So I have some time today to experiment on some artist styles that I have been researching. Lately I have been inspired by artist like Victoria Ying (she did work for Tangled, look at her Tangled children book) and Brittney Lee [link] go and check out her blog, her work is amazing.

So after looking at their artwork and the style they have, I wanted to give it a try. So this is my experiment with coloring on photoshop. This isn't finished yet, but I started it this morning and I'm really happy with it so far. I think if I just keep practicing with photoshop on my own work, then I will get better and I will not be so scared to do a full illustration on photoshop for my classes.

Thanks, it's not finish yet, but I'm almost done. If I don't get a lot of homework this week, I'll finish it.

This is pretty cool. I like the style (didn't you call it the flat technique?).

yeah it a little bit of that and I added some shadows to make some parts of the drawing pop out, like a 3d thing or like one of those paper cutout illustrations

thanks

I noticed the shadow. It was well rendered, and it did give it a real 3D effect. It is very good you are open to trying various techniques.
The full moon last night kept me up. XD. The mold I made for the Greenman project might be too large, and it just dried, so I'll see if I can get back on track with that project.

I want to really push myself to be better, especially in my weak spots, those would be photoshop and drawing people more realistically. I saw the full moon that night, it was pretty. That night I went to see the play Wicked (it was the traveling broadway tour) and someone notice the moon and that it was different, she said it was a "Super Moon"? do you know if there was anything new or different about the moon that night. Besides it power to keep people up at night and turn people into werwolves.

I've seen your photoshop improve since I've known you, and every artist can always benefit from anatomy. That is why I like macabre drawings. XD. You can draw fantasy and practice anatomy all at the same time XD (like when you draw a zombie or a skeleton).
I was staring at the moon both Friday and Saturday night (I went for long runs in the moonlight on both nights). I forget the official name of it, but that night (Saturday) would be the time when the moon would be closest to the earth, and it won't be that close for another 7 years (something like that). Did you ever notice the face of the moon doesn't change because it does not rotate like us. You see the same face. It has to do with the gravitational pull differential between the moons mountains and valleys (I don't fully understand it myself).
I always see an image on the moon's face. It always looks like a black and white photo of something. (like when you see shapes in clouds). Sometimes it looks like a family (mother, father, and child), other times not. I always let out a little howl at the full moon when no one is around. (it always puts a smile on my face and laughter in my heart). I'll have to check if I got into any livestock when I was in my wolf form XD. Awoooo! [link] Speaking of Little Red Riding Hood.
