Once there was a boy
And he lived his happy life
He always smiled wide
And never seemed to cry

One day though he thought
I should leave this place
I feel too cramped to crowded
I'll come back one day

The days went on
And the weeks grew long
Soon it was years
And they realized he was gone

The townsfolk looked
For the happy little boy
And they couldn't find him
So they left and went home

A dark cloud grew
Over the little town
Everyone grew accustomed
To a saddened frown

People shrugged
When asked to do
Anything other
Than to answer "How are you?

The response was always similar
Deep depressed and somber
For the days grew dark
And the nights grew longer

At the mark of the century
20 years passed
A man walked into town
And then he asked...

"Was there ever a little boy
Who lived in this tiny town?
And everyday I'm told
He never showed a frown."

The people took the man
To the house of the boy
And still the shelves were covered
Strewn with random toys

"I see" said the man
"They haven't touched a thing"
"It's nice to be home" he said
And then they started to sing

He's home

Our little boy
Gone astray

Is now a man
This joyous day

The little happy boy
Was once a little child
And now that the time has passed
He's come back from the wild
