His shadow was cast awkwardly by the moonlightEven the light clouds had a shadow
As he looked upon his strewn figure
He thought it clever how the light played dark
His mind began thinking of shadows
All the things the moon couldn't see
But how many times had he seen the shadow on the moon
Could he even imagine
His body gave way to this shadow
And his shadow gave cover from the moon
And the moon nodded as it was high in the sky
For it had seen the ground upon which his shadow has played
