I actually quite like this. Your style is cute without being painfully generically so.
By the way, if you're looking for a simple way to enhance your pieces you might consider playing around with texture overlays (layer properties such as darken, lighten, color burn etc.). Good textures don't make a good drawing or painting but they can be that extra spice that makes a piece just right. Woops. I rambled, sorry. XD
