the one part about my art that i dislike the most is probably how it reflects on me and my attitudes as i/they pertain to fat girls. i don't really know what motivates it but there is certainly something of an undercurrent of fat shaming in a lot of it, however much i really do really admire hefty ladies in such a variety of ways. i guess it isn't like the biggest crime in the world but there is definitely a part of me that enjoys certain aspects of weight gain probably a bit too much.in this instance, i don't think fat girls are comparable to pigs!! i just think the pig iconography is pretty cute when used in such a context! even if it does run the risk of dehumanising the character. but then moon is a product of that impulse anyway i guess with the whole catgirl thing so i'm already pretty committed in that direction as it is, whether i like it or think it's right or not

Looking at both designs, I think it would be an interesting idea to mix aspects of both to one (the eyes and hair of the before with the body of after, and other combos) but you do you, I'm fine regardlessΒ

But in regards to the whole "pig symbolism", I feel that is best to be used only, in a situation where the participant in question is put into a forced-fattening situation, where the morale is meant TO be dropped. (I'm twisted, I know.) Outside of that, though? Their lifestyle, is their prerogative. Who are we to pin labels?
