Description
Decided to go crazy with patterns and textures.Doing this while eating some durian and some indie rock music,which kinda inspires me in a weird way.
In the end,I really like this one.
Photoshop CS,Tablet,Mouse.5+ Hours.

Then,it would be easier explaining to you since I posted some tutorials there.
Hmm..
I usually just follow my intuation on colours,and use some nice textures/pattern/stocks in this one.
I also have literally thousands of art that I've collected,books and in pc,and I will try to learn and understand other artists method/technique.
Observing is more important than doing.
Plus,there's some really neat tutorials here in dA that is really useful.
Sorry that I couldnt write more.Just trying to keep it short.In my observation,ou are an artist with potential,so I think you can learn these in a breeze.

oH wow!I understand what you were saying..but,what I want is how to use the color tools in photoshop~nyahahah..Like how to put the color to the chara and..stuff like that..I have the software but I dont know how to use it.Even the basic pun..hehehe.But,I understand it hards to explain thru this medium..

STICK WITH THIS AND CONTINUE TO IMPROVE AND EXPAND BASE ON THIS STYLE.
-proper scenery Backgroud(start with simple like bedroom/bus stop)
-Size(More charactersand objects)
Last but not least you should try something like this in BBKM09 Illustration category I see chances. Work Hard and Be creative.

Never thought of entering the BBKM09.But maybe I'll try just for the heck of it.

Popcorn sure, after your skill is judged and compared among other works. Like what I did for recent Gempak(Issues232) street fighter Illust contest.
Effective tips I could give is spend time on it like the rest of time that's left until deadline. More importantly have fun.
In Art industry, the more recognition you have the easier to get a job in it.
