8x10, gouache/watercolors. This was my first full watercolor painting, and my first attempt at photo-realistic sequential art. Quite a learning experience.Related content

This piece is so moving. You have captured a moment and expressed it so sorrowfully. Your use of darker colors enhances the emotional feel of this work. There are some things better captured with paint and pen, than with a click of a button.

I've found painting to be extremely therapeutic, and this piece will always remain very important to me simply because of what it represents and because of the amount of genuine emotion that bled into the watercolors. It may not be very advanced in a sense of technique or skill, but its sentiment cements its place within my heart for eternity.

Marvelous...The shading of the face and the shadows that fall in the wrinkling of his brow and under his eyes really show the intensity of this man's emotions. I love it.
