Description
A is for Azathoth, the demon sultan that flops around in a stupor outside time and space, from the works of H. P. Lovecraft. This is my first attempt to make pixel art. I'm going through the entire alphabet and doing one monster per letter, using Lovecraftian monsters as much as possible.You can now buy a print or tshirt of this image on my society 6 account!

N is for Nyarlathotep. It HAS to be!

N is definitely for Nyarlathotep. It will be difficult picking out the right form. The huge tentalce headed behemoth? The lurker in the dark? the scarlet robed wizard who is followed by wild animals that lick his hands?

Perhaps some weird amalgamation of all of them...something that has the head of a goat ("The Dreams in the Witch House") with three eyes ("The Haunter of the Dark") and twisting tentacles for hair (God of the Bloody Tongue/"huge tentalce headed behemoth"), with the body of a scarlet-robed pharaoh ("Nyarlathotep"/"The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath") and huge erupting bat-wings ('The Haunter of the Dark")?Β Sorry if that's weird. It's actually been my design for him for a while, essentially something mixed with classical demons and Lovecraftian terrors.

I do actually have an idea for Nyarlahotep. I wanted to make it a collaborative piece with a sprite artist who does very small sprites well. He does the human like form of Nyarlahotep holding a light bulb, and then I do the shadow he casts, which is sort of an amalgamation of his different monster forms in a larger scale. I'm excited.
Gotta get through C for Cthulhu,Β and D-M before I get to him though.

Bokrug was the water lizard worshiped by the voiceless inhabitants of Ib in "The Doom that Came to Sarnath." After said doom it is then worshiped by the people of Llarnek.
Ohhhh q... Heh... Weeeeeelllllll, I've got one idea at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't count. And would be just selfish to ask.
