Follow me on Blogspot --> [link]I would love to work on a new version of the old classic Hexen. One of my favorites from back in the day!
**Update - I was pleasantly surprised at all the awesome feedback and response to this image and the idea of a Hexen/Heretic reboot! ID software I hope your out there listening... or Kotaku or someone able to generate some buzz.

I double checked something and turns out asking Id to make a new Hexen/Heretic may not help as they only published it; they didn't develop or own the Hexen franchise. Raven Software does.

I sure hope Activision and ZeniMax come to an agreement. I think Heretic/Hexen should go to ZeniMax, though. Activision clearly doesn't care about the series, or they would've done something by now. Plus if ZeniMax Media owns it, they could get Arkane, MachineGames, or even id to develop new games from her on.
On that note, did you know that Galena from Quake Champions is from the Heretic/Hexen universe? She has the Serpent Riders logo on her armor and everything.

Who knows, if they do a reboot like Doom and Wolfenstein; it could be part of shared game universe. Doomslayer and B.J. could guest star.

The style is just eye-candy! It's amazing how you've put so much detail into this. Rain, the skull, all the little flourishes you've injected just brings this image to life.

The entire Heretic/Hexen series deserves a proper comeback. I mean, COME ON! Demons intent on destroying reality, Gothic ambient, gruesome abominations to fight and badass weapons and spells. What's not to love?

Hexen and Heretic were great. Also a late comer but very good looking for its time was Enclave from GRIN. Love the old school dark fantasy 3d games.

Hexen is amazing game. I mean the first part, not the second one made in 3d, which turned out rather cartoonish IMHO. Just love that gloomy atmosphere of dark and creepy magic in a hopeless sad world. Also there was a great challenge in gameplay - hellish battles or brain-boiling puzzles. This shooter truly deserves a reincarnation on modern engine or at least something like Sgnt Mark II done with Brutal Doom. Would love to see more art like that.

Might I ask what you used to draw this? tablet + Photoshop maybe? I like seeing what other people draw with, especially when they're better than me. This one's really good.
