Light bulbs on a fist? I think they would shatter or go out pretty easily. There's a lot of design choices that were clearly made for aesthetics and not practicality.

What is DecoPunk and how does it differ from SteamPunk?

Mostly in the aesthetic standpoint, think the Original BioShock games' art direction vs. what you find in, say, Dishonored.

What is the major technology or power source? That's normally the defining factor, Steam, Diesel, Cyber(computer)

I guess that kind of depends on the writer/artist, honestly.
In art, the different 'punk genres tend to focus more on the aesthetics vs. the literary structure of the setting. So a Decopunk setting could easily be both Steampunk utilizing a more Art-Deco aesthetic, though Decopunk most commonly fall into the Dieselpunk / Industrial Punk genre.
