Please full view'Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater' for the PS2 is prolly my fave game at the moment, so it's to be expected that I'd wanna draw up some fanart. I was expecting I'd draw Raikov, but no I ended up drawing Snake himself.
My first time colouring in photoshop CS, as opposed to 5.5 which I usually use. I feel more comfortable with 5.5, CS is weird and awkward and I hate it >= P However, I love the way you can make your own brushes, with different angles and stuffies^^ The skin pores, hair some of the leaves and even the crosshatching on the cloth, were all brushes I made specifically for this pic.
Originally, I'd drawn the whole of the background in full, sharp detail; So it was a shame when I finished and realised how wrong it looked, and that it needed blurring.
That's the Woodland facial camouflage he's waring, not me attempting to draw some kind of weird lighting effect. I hope it doesn't look like that

nice job. you do know that tecnically thats not solid snake. thats big boss before shadow moses. cus technically snake is a clone of big boss, along with solidus and liquid. but overall its a epic picture well done.

Oh my lord if DeviantART didn't have categories I would've sworn on my grave that this was an actual in game screen shot. I cannot express to you how deeply impressed I am that a feat of this magnitude was accomplished your first time coloring in CS. The scruff on his beard is fantastic and I love how you made each individual strand stand out. His hair also has a beautiful sheen to it, and those eyes, GAWD they are so gorgeous they just drive me wild! I absolutely adore this picture and I am so glad to have stumbled upon it. It is just magnificent!!!

love the metal gear series and snake was one of the best damn soldiers around, give him a gun or give him a box and he will get the job done ^_^

This piece really caught my eye. You managed to really capture the effect of how the PS2 displays a texture on the character model, as well as the background. I could have sworn this was an in-game screenshot. Great job!

This is, by far, the most fantastic fan-art of Solid Snake I've ever had the treat of setting eyes on...! The original Metal Gear Solid holds a very special place in my heart; I know the characters in the games better than the people in my graduating class in a town of 2,500 people. x3
