Not too long ago, I felt like I wanted to blend Native American culture with the modern American culture, both in characters and the cities they love in. And I believe that in my novels, Native American cultures like the Navajo and the Lakota should take a huge part of their modern society like most other countries, but itβs quite a challenge for me to get all of the historical facts together. And like Dezba, she may be native like all of her ancestors, but instead of being incredibly calm or sage, she act like most average Americans; like timid, active, has a strong personality and also quite charming.
