The Quircus Stompus - a3 - pen illustaration
I drew this after having an incredibly vivid dream, where this tree had weak vision through a pair of mushroom it used for eye, but would detect motion and lurch terrifyingly towards you to crush then digest your nutrients.

Great hatching style! It imbues the tree with so much character.

Great use of light. Not just on the individual bark pieces and branches, but the cast shadow from the leaves onto the trunk. So much dimension. I also like the more graphic design feel of the leaves compared to the very illustrative bark and roots. Great juxtaposition of textures.
The only thing that would make it better is if it was on my studio wall.

This is un-freaking-believable. Reminds me a little of the giant creepy tree Hexes came from in Fern Gully. Haha! No, seriously, beautiful!
