Description Please - your comments/critique for this are welcomed, especially as there are different ways of working incorporated into the one picture - it's a 'learning piece' for me.

Worked in acrylic inks on white cartridge paper.
11cm x 17cm

This is just a 'lay' with flowers and inks and the like, and working in colour, something that has vexed me ... but having worked with black ink drawings, now adding colour to black outlines seems to work ...

I've tried different ways of applying the colour from just using dippy nib ink pens for the top most flower and the two to the left below it, to brushing the ink on in layers of washes .. and then adding black ink on top for the shadows/outlines. The background colours were applied using a brush, and then black ink was worked over it. I found that a 0.25mm rotring pen was too heavy for it (right hand side), but a dippy nib pen gave a finer line that looked more 'delicate' and suited the subject more.

It's certainly something different for me ... it looks messy, yet it kind of works and may even be classed as, for me, expressive.
