Description And another one ... again around 6"x6" ... watercolour on heavy white cartridge paper, with touches of gold iridescent watercolour paint (the parts that look dark brown - darn scanners!)

I love this piece and I have been trying to do a painting like it as a practice for painting. This image is all over the internet as being actually by Kandinsky. Can you tell me have you copied a Kandinsky image or is this your own composition in the style of Kandinsky? If it is your own composition then you may be interested in how many places online it is given as an example of actually being by him. You may find that amusing or perhaps not? If you have copied an image, I'd like to know about the original. But I think from the message string it is your own composition.
Here is my google image search from your imageΒ www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en-…

Hello. Β I'm glad you like this one. Β It isn't a copy of a Kandinsky, but an experiment in being inspired by his work, honestly! Β I know I've come across people who think it's by Kandinsky and when I do, I correct them, or try to ...Β
Honestly, I just looked at Kandinsky's work, analysed the elements he used, and then did what I could to do something in his style!

Never heard of Kandinsky, but this is beautiful. I love the texture, the colours, and the contrast of the soft curvy lines with the harsher, pointed and straight ones.

I love this style! Kandinsky was one of the artists that got me into doing abstract artwork.

Thank you for your kind words. Same for me with Kandinsky, though I seem to have veered away somewhat ...

You're welcome! Indeed, same here with me. I guess it's us developing our own styles as we go on.

Thank you for your kind words, and orchestration is a very apt word for something inspired by kandinsky's work.
