Inbetween other arty pursuits, my sketchbook work has been 'pattern explorations' This started with the Inktober Tangle Patterns challenge last month. I found it absolutely fascinating, enchanting, captivating to take one pattern/motif and to create variations on a theme.
By doing this one A5 sketchbook page at a time, it isn't an overwhelming task. I can add as much detail, colour, shadow/highlight as I want. Finally, I've found a way to give myself permission to use a sketchbook without feeling I have to produce polished pieces of art!
I've been vlogging my daily explorations, and they've recently become titled 'Draw with me' as I discovered there are some people who enjoy drawing along with me. Who would've thought it? Well, not me!
It's easy enough to find me on youtube I'm sure, if you're interested. I warn you, the videos can be an hour long, I can witter about quite random stuff ...
