I know this was posted back in 2012; but I'm just now discovering this picture.
And something compells me to reply.
I am pretty certain that IS the sword used by the Riders of Rohan, specifically their King.

Actually, the sword used by King Theoden has a certain resemblance, but the design is different from this specific piece. lotr.wikia.com/wiki/Herugrim here you can find a picture of the Weta workshop version used in the movies.
