Description We're all caught in a dream.

I spent two and a half hours on this.
I need to start working on backgrounds for both class and personal work so here you are- Reference used but if I'm honest, I didn't exactly follow it well and just made it my own. Shrugs.
I can't draw dogs or commissions right now but I can draw backgrounds how amusing-
There's a lot that can be improved but I kind of started slacking in the last half an hour I'm sorrY.

Looking back at the vague-shaped airbrushed starting out version like 'It's so blurry wow.' sta.sh/02b98p0ubjy6

Hi! You did a really good job with this, especially with the texture. The leaves on the tree look especially realistic. However, I see some points for improvement. One thing would be the grass. Grass generally stands straight up, or at least in an upwards slant. However, for the hill, the grass seems to be slanting down, which is not natural. Additionally, while the tree trunks look good, in real life, trees generally have above ground roots; it might be beneficial to add some of those. Another improvement would be the light. While yes, tree leaves do generally break up light from the sun, it shouldn't appear as straight lines. It might be better instead to combine all the separate lines into one region. Lastly, I would like to recommend that you add something to the upper left part, where as the picture gets further, you kind of just added a greenish white area. I would recommend adding more trees there, because it just seems somewhat unnatural to leave it off like that. All in all, this is really good, especially for a first piece. Keep it up!

Not bad. Although I think there is a lot of elements that look the same. Like, the leaves on the trees and the grass is all the same. Same texture/brush. This should be avoided, because the painting can turn out boring. So you should try to draw every object differently. That's more interesting. Everything in nature is unique, although it may seem the same sometimes, but if you look closely, it's different. You could also put more details on tree bark, like adding more curved lines. There's also a little lack of leaves on the trees on the right. And branches. Better to add them too. As for the green light... It kinda merges with the background, as it is green too. You should make the light lighter. Add more contrast. Contrast is actually the secret to making the picture and colors lively, so try it. And also, about the perspective. The trees on the left should be bigger and thicker, as they are closer to us like the river is. But here they are, again, almost all the same... I recommend to use references, as it is the best (and easiest) way to improve faster (well, at least for me, I use them a lot and constantly look at the tutorials).
So... I hope that I explained the mistakes clearly (English isn't my native language :c) and hope it helps...

Thank you for the advice!
I tried using a reference (A little was shifted slightly but this was the main composition of the photograph.)
But thank you, no worries I understood completely! ^^
