Description
Started off as a simple portrait picture of Sanae but eventually expanded on the idea. I haven't expanded on the use of colour much recently so this was quite enjoyable.PS

Sanae is often oversimplified in the fandom to just be an otaku cliche or a fanservice character. But when you think about it her backstory is ripe for potential exploration of what it means to stand between very different things and embody them both. Not only is she effectively a demigod and thus akin to a man and a god, but also a modern earth person and a fantasyland denizen all in one.
And this picture captures that with some of that nice coloring and indistinct linework that avoid clear delineation of all of her aspects.

There's really quite a lot to view in this work and it's a lot of fun to study all the details! I think the picture explains Sanae very well, and I like the symmetry theme going on.

Wow. Dear wow. Easily the most spectacular Sanae picture I've seen. I love the symmetry and mirrored imbalance of the two spheres of her world. The colours are so dark and intense too. And I have to chuckle a little at your penchant for power lines finding its way into here - perfectly too, I might add.
I dearly hope this gets a DD.

I'm not sure if I know any other artists who invoke them as consistently. => Power lines seem to be as "arufa" as lavish brushtrokes, exuberant lighting and dreamy mecha.
Oh, there's always Makoto Shinkai actually. Maybe that's who you remind me of ... him and his power lines alongside roads and railway tracks.
