Another OC of
" Varda has very dark skin, full of stars that shimmer and move around. Her eyes are green flame, as are her shark-like teeth and the claws tipping each finger".

I should say that this painting was real catastrophe - had great idea but I lacked skill to fulfill it... :/ I wanted her hair to blend into background but couldn't achieve that...and well when I tried to do it like that, destroyed background...Repainted background 3 times (last one I just put dark paint over whole background - it was gamble, I would destroy painting or I would save it..).
Second catastrophe - Her skin. I wanted to create skin which really mirrors description of "full of stars", so I used special iridescent medium for watercolor, but it was my first time for using it and I didn't know how it alters watercolor abilities...it was very hard to to shading with it (on scan it's not visible at all).
Third catastrophe - skirt was damaged during 3rd repaint of background...heavy damaged with dark grey color, and I really wanted watercolor to be opaque paint at that time...had to do golden ornaments with acrylic to mask it
Overall I liked my idea, but I'm not really fond with final effect (I'm only happy that this time I could do "her eyes are green flame" ). Not to mention that original looks way better than scan - in original Her skin really shines with stars, it's darker and You can see shading on it. On scan it looks more bright and not shiny.
Also I wanted Her pose to be similar to my previous drawing of Varda.
