AW MY GOODNESS THOSE ARE SO PRETTY!!!!
I truly love them!

ArunaWolf In reply to SkekLa [2016-11-09 13:38:41 +0000 UTC]

To be honest - not really
People prefer to buy cheap ornaments from china than hand made which cost more but in truth they should cost even more if I consider amount of time I put on every one of them :<

SkekLa In reply to ArunaWolf [2016-11-18 16:17:43 +0000 UTC]

It's the same debate I mentally did with myself a thousand times over...it can be terrible...
"People wants cheaper things..."
"I can do cheap, ugly, simple things..but I would ate myself for it so much..."
"Then again, charging logically according o the ammount of time, materials,  detail and effort each sculpt reuires me, is impossible. If I charge it fairly for me, the customer won't buy it. If I charge too few, it's frankl pointless to even try living off from this...

It's a true dilemma, and finding the ballance between quality and price is very hard...I hope you can do it! (I'm still striving with it)

As I have luxury of normal job I can still treat orders like that as hobby not my main income. But fact is that commissions really help me with money because dunno why life is getting more expensive and more expensive each year :/

OH, well, that's cool! ^^
Artisan crafts are my sole income nd that drives me crazy----XP
I'd want a normal job to aid myself to gain better incomes but getting oe where I live, at my age , is nearly impossible nowadays (I'm 34 and seen as "far too old" to apply for most jobs offered...)
Life costs increase there too??? It's like an epidemic...here it's been crazy:this year we likely had a 60% of inflation...XP

Wow being 34 is to old for job O.O it sounds so weird ...in my country they want mostly few years of experience and best if You would have 24 years there are many jokes that they want 24 years old employee with 12 years experience

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SkekLa In reply to ArunaWolf [2016-12-07 16:08:23 +0000 UTC]

Funnily yes!
I will never get t either: for me it's a vicious cycle for enterprises and all kinds of stable works: they refuse to take many applying young employees "due to inexperience"...and yet they refuse to take anyone beyond 25 years "because they're too old already"...IT'S RIDICULOUS! That way the young inexperienced persons would NEVER acquire experience, and the ones who DO have prior experience and are over their 30's are immediately dismissed!
Ridiculous, right?

Yeah >.<
Besides I just cannot immagine how person 30+ can be to old for job... well maybe if You try to enetr national balet or football team - ok there 30+ is to old but in normal job ??
