Description
The Animated Series has set a precedent for refinement, taking the wealth of DC history and boiling it down. For that reason, I present Barbara Gordon: Oracle. My take on her doesn’t ignore her history or origin, but takes it a step further. For example, I decided to bring an Oracle up out of the wheelchair. This provides for her to eventually become completely mobile by the time she’s older. It’s my not-so-subtle reaction to the European nihilism behind the writing that put her in the chair in the first place, and it’s believable when she inhabits a world that contains the likes of Dr. Leslie Thompkins.

The inclusion of Oracle is also part of an effort to, sort of, correct what was done to Nightwing in TNBA. Oracle can be the eyes and ears of a Nightwing that operates in Blüdhaven.
