Description
I've been seeing so many rad dinosaur portraits lately that I wanted to jump onboard. I've never seriously attempted an Allosaurus before so this was a fun exercise. This one is 100% hand painted, no photo textures mixed in at all.#2009vs2019

such amazing detail, i LOVE the look of those crests and the large scales on them
the colouration is great too, the redish brown really does make the pale blue eyes stand out a lot and i love it
design wise it is like looking at a Komodo that has stood up and decided to hunt sauropods

Ever since Ballard of Big Al and Jurassic Fight Club, Allosaurus has been one of my favorite theropods. Nothing like seeing the lion of the Jurassic.
