Description
after doing my first tree painting i really wanted to do another in just simple black grey and white because i enjoyed doing the first one so much, i painted it in oils again, i love working with just simple colours and i really liked the tree idea, let me know what you think it means, because this was purely for fun just with a basic idea behind it.Related content

I like the painting very much. You did very well with the colours and the unobtrusive colours you used for shading. The black, twisted and withering tree is the subject but dos not forve its way forward and therefor I can say you made a good job with the composition.
It does not look static oder even boring, even if you used quite dark and monochrome colurs. Quite the opposite, it seems "taunting", like taken from one of the good old 20-30ties horrorfilms.
Yet I lack some kind of (ironic) twist in this painting, something unexpected, something to lift the uniqueness of tree out of the background.
I expierience your -nevertheless- exquisite paniting more like a coulisse for a greater action I cannot partake in.

Hello, what a superb comment, thankyou for checking it out and writing such a complex comment. i try to not over complicate things in my paintings but they normally take a natural turn which i have no control over, so i glad you like it and it clearly made you think about it, i like what you said about the 20-3oties horrorfilms i get impression too now you said it and i like that feel quite simple and dull in an interesting way. im glad you like the composition because i am still abit of a noob when it comes to painting im self taught and whe i get an idea i just go with it. so thankyou very much for your commet

I'll try that. It's so amazing though, like when I try to blend like that it always comes out so... streaky, and It's just frustrating. Serious? Are you kidding dude? I would LOVE it! I can't get over how good it its.

what i do is always use alot of white primer underneath, then put patches of colour like black grey and white it areas i think it should go then with a clean fresh brush just blend it all together using a circular motion with the brush and just blend it to how you want. you will definatly succeed. Nope i not kidding you can have because you like it so much i think you should have it , i will just have to send it to you by post, it might take a while because i live in the uk but you cant definatly have it. just let me know your details and i will send it of as quickly as possible.
