I don't actually use watercolours, I use FW liquid acrylics for color-fastness and brightness and .08 Microns for the outline (you can use fine Sharpies, but I don't like to risk bleed.) As far as color, you can get Arches paper, but I find good, art supply store, cold-press watercolor paper with medium grain works great. That way, if you screw up, it's like $.10 a sheet versus $1.50

ok dude thats cool i just wanted to get an idea how to colour pictures and be able to blend the colour because its difficult with pencils of coloured pens.

thankyou very much i am well happy with the skull i tried to shade it very realisticly and the snake is cool, i am happy with the picture though, i am drawing alot. pretty much everyday. how are you?? hope everything is well and the new predator looks cool

Good to hear you get to draw everyday, I find it relaxing. How is the job at the tattoo shop?
I am fine, thank you! My shoulders hurts a bit though, but nothing serious. Going to take a trip next week and see some good old cars, wooho! Its Classic Car Week here where I live, and they will have a cruising on Tuesday and other things during the week. Will take my camera with me and might put up some pics if there is some interest in older cars here.

So what do you get to do at the tattoo shop? Tell me!!
I love older cars, its the shape and sound they make I belive.
Gah, Im waiting for PRedators to come out! But there is no advertising anywhere at the cinemas that they will show the movie! Which is wierd and unnerving at the moment! They advertise it on the tv, but I have looked up all the surrounding cinemas where I live, and noone seems to be showing Predators... only Inception and some Drama movie - that I do NOT want to see. But maybe they will show it later on.. maybe next week or so. There is not really many cinemas where I live you know... its about an hours drive to the next cinema, and then the miles continue.

Ah, my shoulders are a chapter of their own. You see, when I draw, I start with my back straight. Further along, my head start sinking closer and closer to the paper. Next follows the shoulders and after a few minutes I have my whole face in the paper im drawing on. I also lean to the left. After a while (with the arms close to the body) my shoulders hurts, also my neck.
I went to a masseuse who told me that my back is wierd. Because I lean to the left, the muscles on the right side of my back is longer. She told me to stop doing that ASAP and frankly, its a habit I dont seem to get rid of. But im trying. I also work alot in the yard, chopping and piling wood and that also puts a strain on my shoulders/back. Im a working girl, ok!

hello i do alot of stuff talk to the customers watch the tattoos i clean and get supplies if the tattooists need it i draw alot and observe. its pretty good fun. and yesterday i did some tattooing on myself with one of the tattooists and it was really good fun. so hopefully i can start tattooing at home and stuff. i really really hope you get predators soon, i want you to see it so bad.shame about the back, i know what you mean i do the same you concentrate so much your leaning into the picture, you made me laugh when you said your face was on the paper lol. well hopefully you can sort it, and chopping wood and stuff is good its good to be a working girl. new pred look immense by the way look forward to seeing it finished.

Sounds like you are having a great time at the tatto shop. And you got to tatto yourself! Guess you start out that way? If Im ever in England, I'll look you up and get a tattoo, hehe!
I have finally found a cinema that will play Predators, but not until the end of this week - which I dont understand why, becuase they never are this late at showing premier movies. I will take my siblings with me, wether they like it or not. I will finally see it!! I've waited so loooooong.
Haha, you also disappear into your drawings? Maybe its a curse for artists... to slowly sink into your creations and loose track of reality... woooo!
Well, now Im hungry! Dinner is cooking in the kitchen, gonna take me a bite.

yeah tattoo is great and lots of drawing and a man from america has been paying me to do t-shirt designs for him which is cool. i got loads of stuff to post on deviant just havent done it yet. really glad your going to see predators i do think you will like it. i do disapear into my drawings lol, i really want to start oil painting as well might try that this week. if your ever in the uk, let me know hope you enjoyed your dinner.you take care as well.

You do T-shirt designs and sell them, that so cool!! Good that you're earning some money from something you like doing.
Cant wait to see what you have been cooking up drawing-wise. I guess you get to draw alot when practising there. Are they/colleagues good?

I never saw Predators... appearently they had a wrong delivery and never got the movie. Im still scouting the whole province to check of someone will show it... no luck.
So far, everytime I have tried to watch Predators something have stopped it. Its really tiring and I hardly even care anymore... before friday, I had stayed away from all pictures of the new designs etc from the movie, but after friday - I gave up. I like the new design I have seen. The new face looks alot different from the earlier looks but it works for sure. The armor is a interesting take and look alot more tribal then the previous. At least from the conceptart etc. the movie looks to be good. Guess I might have to wait until Nov-december to buy the movie and see it then. But hopefully it will show somewhere close where I live before then.

yeah this dude contacted me through deviant art and asked me to do some designs it was really cool and i still doing them he sends me some money as well through paypal which is great. yeah i been drawing loads, like everyday and stuff its cool. the people i work with are great as well, and the other day i did 2 tattoos it was good fun. ah no what a shame you didnt get to see the movie. all the preds are cool and i liked the tribal element. even if you only see it on dvd it be great it was great seeing your actual picture the other day on deviant, was cool i saw coollekotten . hope all is well with you though.

I SAW PREDATORS!!!!
IT WAS BEAST!! Me and my sister made the decision to go to Gävle and see it, after no cinema in my province showed it. We drove for about 2 hours (160km), got lost little and finally found the cinema. bought two tickets and viewed it. After A Brody falls down and they walk away in the forest and the P1 soundtrack started with the drums... I knew it was going to be good. *Happy feeling*
I have waited so looong! But it was really worth the trip there, it really was. It was awesome!! Now Im just waiting for the DVD to come out with special feauters etc. My mother thinks im crazy... this morning when I told her about the movie very enthusiasticly, she was like "Nicole... you're such a nerd. But I see it makes you happy so.." But my mum is more or less the person who made me a nerd through Star Trek and Star Wars and so on, so she got herself to blame!


Now back to you, He found you through DA? thats cool! Very happy you can earn some money on something you like doing. Does he work on some company or is he working on his own? Can you buy the shirts online?
I thought it was time to put up my ID pic here, I know how alot of you guys look like but noone knows my face. And its always fun to know the face of whom you speaking with. Are you still growing a beard?

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS, man i am happy for you that you finally got to see it and i knew you would like it and enjoy it like a true pred fan. yeah the music was awesome that they kept the original feel to it. and the dvd is a must i def going to buy it as well your new pred drawings are super fantastic as usual. i like them alot. im a nerd to so thats cool hahaha being a nerd is great theres a whole world of cool stuff to explore. yeah the dude contacted me and i still drawing for him i not sure weather he just doing it on his own or what but he said he would send me a t-shirt when he gets some printed and stuff which will be cool, if he sells them online i will let you know and you can take a look, plus i put some of the designs up on DA which is cool. hopefully i become a millionaire hahaha. no no more beard for me but i still keep it a nice length, i hate face without facial hair i look wierd lol. everything else going well for you??? hope life is good take care and it was lovely to see your face

I will most likely buy the directors cut or whatever they call it, when it gets out here. If there will be one, there is. Got to watch it again, Predators was great! OK, some parts could have been better but overall it was a good movie and made both P1 and P2 proud I belive. I mean, P1 has some cheezy lines etc. and is a type of movie that dont get many stars, but for fans the movies are brilliant.
And we nerds are going to rule the world!

I saw the drawings you put up, they look great. How many have you sent to the guy now? The one named "traditional eld" - not sure if you meant to write "elk" but - "eld" actually means "fire" in swedish. So when I read 'traditinal eld' I thought "oh, he drew fire?" but alas...
Be sure to give me the online adress of the guy later, if he has one.
I want to be a millionare too... or at least have half a million... hehe! Just so you dont have to worry about not having enough money to pay a bill or buy new clothes or something... that would be good. We can always dream.
Its all good with me, well kind of. Still looking for a job and my family is slowly driving me nuts, but other then that its good. How are you?

Yeah couple fof things could be slightly inproved but it just doesnt matter it was a very enjoyable movie and felt more like p1 which is great because that one is the best, to fans its awesome and its got arnie in it who i am a massive fan of weather he is cheese or not lol. yeah was supposed to say traditional elk lol but i got it wrong and to lazy to change it haha. ahah yeah we will indeed rule the world , halo reach is out next week and i very excited about this. i will let you know details when he tells me, ive sent him loads must be about 10 or so and im just working on a new one to send him its a rainbow trout with japanese waves. yeah loads of money would be nice, not to buy loads of stuff and show off just enough to live easily would be great. keep searching for that job it will come and family can get stressful at times lol. im not too bad, bit of a wierd time, split with girlfriend a while back then we got back together then i had to end it again the other night because i dont think its going to work. its heartbreaking to do this to her and i feel so bad, but its life and life is generally a bitch. but apart from that im ok, enjoying the tattoo shop and im enjoying the xbox alot lol makes me happy shooting stuff lol. your new pred pics are just insane, your pencil work is so soft and brilliant its fantSTIC, THE DETAIL IS SUPERB I THINK MAYBE YOUR BEST YET ACTUALLY. i do get that alot yes, its very tough to do something from brain i can do it but 9 times out of 10 the result is totally different to the one i i magined in the first place but thats just the natural process i think, but yet again i use reference alot , it helps me make the best design and its still an original drawing because its your own interpritation, , every artist has to use reference, with my tattoo designs if had to get reference for all of them until i can draw them a bit more freehand or from mind your a superb artists and thats what matters take care message soon
