Description
My best animation so far, though I really should have practiced my anatomy first. I'm a bit rusty since my hiatus. His hind legs are too long! Though of course I've always drawn my wynglings with way too long hind legs for some reason, so this is better than my earlier attempts at anatomy at least...Hahh... if I'd done this old app today, it wouldn't even have passed approval. >.>
+9/342 wyns 1+8 (Mod awarded), credit for the rear hooves upgrade.

Wow nice job Ascynd! Really smooth and I love how it stretches and wobbles.
Keep in mind animations are just 1 wyn normally for the future. (automatically)
You can total this to 9 wyns total for the smooth finished work though! Nice job!

Thanks! That's really what I'm trying to practice, when a creature runs there is so much more movement than just the legs and the head and body bobbing up and down, especially on a squishy wyngling, lol. Sai makes it so much easier than the way I used to do it.
And oh, I see about the wyn count. We used to count the thumbnail as its own image, but I'll do it as just 1 wyn from now on.

Omg hahahaa yeah for sure. XD SAI doesn't have an animated feature though-- so where did you actually animate it?
And no worries at all!

I used Sai to make the frames and just assembled and saved them as an animated .gif in Gimp. Being able to set the frames transparent and then draw directly over them in Sai is what made it easy to keep the lines and shading relatively smooth.

It was, haha... thankfully I've improved a lot since then.
Thanks! The run was supposed to be something like a cross between a cat and a horse's gait but I think it looks a bit like the way a Manx cat runs (one that doesn't have Manx syndrome). Came out that way due to the long back legs.

Thanks! It does make him look like he could keep it up all day, haha. Makes me want to try drawing Kastor running with him like here , but I don't think I could pull that off just yet, haha...

Oh man, that would be a very tricky thing to do indeed. 8'D Though if you reused the base and set it on an off-beat, the hardest part would be that flame look. I'm sure there's some tutorials or references out there! I've seen things like fire-maned horse run cycles that could be a good starting point!

Thanks! Painttool Sai and its animation helper really made this a lot easier to do than the way I used to do it (I used to sketch and then do it over again in vector).
