Thoughts about the Character:

I thought Jaffer would be an agile and smart character but a bit too greedy for his own good. His thirst for treasure and rarities led him to an ancient royal structure once, which Jaffer soon would realize it wasn't as "ancient" or "abandoned" as he wished, he stealthily made his way through the gates and was looking out for anything that seemed worth, until he stepped into the main hall and saw an enormous glass vase, it was almost empty with what it looked like to be some kind of sand inside, on closer inspection Jaffer notices some ancient runes scribbled all over the glass vase. For some reason Jaffer was so captivated by the content inside the vase he didn't notice when the guards were getting ready to ambush him, but he couldn't help being enchanted, the sand inside the glass vase was so shiny that made Jaffer wonder if it was some sort of precious powder, unfortunately for him, not all that glitter is gold and when he raised is left hand to touch the glass vase, a precise arrow flew piercing his arm. Only then Jaffer got a glimpse of the situation, he was completely surrounded, guards on the ground and archers with their bows ready above him, another arrow was shot at Jaffer but he deflected it with his scimitar, acknowledging his skills the guards came at him to finish him off while the archers kept firing. Jaffer fell once he was hit on his leg and left arm again, unable to sustain his balance he ended up breaking the glass vase in his fall, all the guards stopped in their tracks, no one would believe if they haven't seen, the sand mixed with the shattered glass on the floor took a demonic form but it seemed as if it was incomplete, the guards began firing their arrows at the sand demon in front of them but it was obviously in vain, then, the demon looked down to see the one who freed it wounded on the ground and with a grin, it became sand again and flowed inside Jaffer's left arm, the pain was excruciating and it made Jaffer squirm on the ground but once it was finished, he rose up, totally fine with his wounds healed.
Easily Jaffer killed all the guards and made his way out of the royal chamber, I believe the demon would talk to him and persuade Jaffer to find the other vases which contains the remains of it's sand. Jaffer left arm got marked by the demon, of course it is quite advantageous to have a demon by his side but Jaffer isn't someone to be ordered around, so I think he would keep his own pace, looking for the treasures he wants.
Jaffer doesn't really have a good character, so it doesn't bother him one bit that he was he one who resurrected a powerful and evil demon, if it is for his own benefit, it sure isn't a bad thing.
Also, as a curiosity, I thought Jaffer would, at first, think that the demon is a male, but it would actually be a female.
