Thoughts about the Character:

Crimson Phantom was at first designed to be a lurker in the shadows, a loyal spy with no opinion of her own but one of the researchers who helped built her got really attached to her, and didn't want Crimson Phantom to be just a puppet in the hands of people who, they believed, weren't even worthy of commanding her abilities so, bit by bit, without anyone noticing, this researcher kept on trying to upgrade Crimson Phantom with new directives but her protective program was too strong and it needed some sort of code to break it. It wasn't easy and it took quite a long time, but eventually this researcher came out with a new kind of program, it was designed to give the robot their own voice, allowing them to act as they truly wish. This program worked much like a virus where, after it has been downloaded by the host's system it would run by itself and once it starts there is no stopping it. They wanted it to be made only for Crimson Phantom to be free but after she was contaminated by it it was actually widely spread through her unique move, the Soul Drain, because it would connect Crimson Phantom and their foe's energy for a second so she can drain their powers to use for herself, in that moment where they are connected, the "virus program" would find it's cue to contaminate another robot.
