Thoughts about the Character:

I thought that even tho Leonie is a princess she wasn't the first nor the second in line of succeding the throne and so no one even bothered to teach her anything about ruling and even not much etiquette and she didn't care at all about ruling the kingdom and so, she always traveled around it and met a lot of people and their life style together with their culture, history and even economy. She loved to learn about how people around her lived (And she liked to learn it by doing, she never minded getting her hands or clothes dirt, she usually says that if she was to learn things without doing it she would be better at the castle reading a book) . Even so, her travels needed to have a meaning or else her father wouldn't let her go and so, she usually helped a bit wherever she was, be it a new trade road or something that would help the villagers even if only a bit.
Her life was just perfect for her like it was but everything changed when the firstborn of the king died misteriously (some believed he died from stress and fatigue, others that he killed himself and other yet that he was murdered), and instead of designating her second in line as his heir, the king demaned that Leonie were to be his heiress, the king advisors laughed inside as they believe Leonie would be easier to order around but much to their surprise Leonie was not, her free spirit would never be tamed, she wasn't easy to lie to and they couldn't do her any harm because aside of having one of the strongest knights as her bodyguard (I thought they would have been childhood friends and he pledged his loyalty to her and not to the king, promising to protect her at all cost) she had what no other heir could, every single person in that country knew Leonie, they knew who she was and her personality, and they rejoiced at the fact she was to be their queen, and so the council couldn't do much from behind the scenes.
Leonie doesn't know much about politics or strategy or war but she is very experienced in dealing with people and she understand the hard part of life, she only has one knight pledged to her that is her bodyguard and she deny any other knight who wants to work under her because even if she looks like naive she definitly isn't and doesn't trust others easily.
I also thought Leonie would know a lot of swordfight as she grew up together with her only knight and they learned together and so even if he isn't around she can defend herself.
