Maybe it's just me, but doesn't making a tutorial on being original kind of defeat the point of originality? Now all people have to do is put together four random parts off your tutorial and they have an "original species." It's kind of... eh. Just my opinion.
Oh, and you have a backwards "z" on the little example at the end, in "Zombie."

Awesome, this really helped me with the demon-like creachers i needed to draw as a referance for my play, incidentally, said play will become a webcomic soon so when the demons show up i'll send you a link and you can see how your tips helped :3 usually i wouldn't even bother trying to make a webcomic out of a play or a story, but this play won third place in a big contest so if nothing else then the story line willmust be good :3

I think it's a great tutorial! Making up animals is so much fun. x3 There are times when I've spent a long time just thinking of so many different animals and their lifestyles and the way different species would interact in the wild of this world I made up. I have several notebooks full of all these animals and info about them. xD
This has inspired me to make up more-you can never have too many made up animals! =3
