Description First daylight is darkest dark

This is not meant
to be an aphorism or metaphor

or somehow comforting

It isn't even a fact

It is nature
which is to say

an absurdity
taken by its arm

& twisted into the truth

The saying "Its darkest just before the dawn" always bugged me because as nicely metaphorical it is, and as true as it may be in situations, its not true of the physical world. Great poem.

this feels like it may have a concept similar to your milk poem, though i'm not sure.
i think the first line creates the ambiguity.

the sparseness is inviting.

The more I read your writing the more I appreciate your ability to leave out all the non-essentials; nearly every word carries a weight.

The last image is fantastic.
