So one of my friends recently introduced me to RWBY and I ended up watching all 3 volumes within a week
(Still crying inside about the end of Volume 3 aah T_T) The music is amazing, and the character designs and weapons are just too cool. (Like seriously, just look at the trailer www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYW2Gm… ) The animation and voice acting really improved by Volume 3 too. My friend did warn me that Volume 3 got a little dark, but gosh, I was not prepared. Anyway, I really wanted to paint Ruby so here she is! Still struggling with anatomy and stuff, but oh well, as usual I just need to keep practising at it.

Interesting piece, I like the rough/sketchy style. Good job on the color scheme, I think it fits very well with the theme/character. So, what is she? Somekind of grim reaper or something?

Thanks! No actually, she's just a student training to become a huntress (a person who hunts and fights monsters in the world of RWBY) and the scythe is just the weapon she uses to fight them. Her design's supposed to be based on Little Red Riding Hood, but yeah, from the scythe, I wouldn't be surprised if the creators were influenced by the grim reaper as well!
