I miss Dragonball Z.
Haha, so I haven't drawn anything DBZ-ish in a loong time. I've been wanting to try my take on Trunks too, so here he is! And maybe it's just me, but I find the original style of dbz a lot harder to draw than it looks.

Oh yes, the good ol' days of DBZ... brings me back to about 7 years ago when the hype was still strong. But the hype went away later for me. Anyway, I like your take on what Trunks looks like. Doing Vegeta would be hard to do (because of his hair) not to mention Teen Gohan (Mystic, Normal, and SSJ) or any of the other Super Saiyans. In other words, awesome job!

I keep on thinking Goku would be the hardest though. Just because his hair kinda juts out everywhere and that only he could pull off that type of hairstyle. So anything realistic would really have to bend the rules of big anime hair while trying to remain true to the rules of big. anime. hair.

Now DBZ to me is just "yeah it's kinda cool", but nothing special to me anymore. Realistic Goku would need to bend the physics of anime hair (seriously, at first I thought: GEEZ! How much hair cement do anime characters need?!), since his hair pretty much juts out in every direction. But his Super Saiyan 3 hair... oh god, that'd be pretty hard to make look realistic. But I can understand why you didn't like
Kid Trunks, he was kinda annoying, but I thought he was really funny, in the sense that he's the exact opposite of Future Trunks and his attitude is somewhat like Vegeta's. Along with Goten, they really add some humor to the episodes that need it.

Haha, super saiyan 3 hair would be crazy! What about SS4 though? Pink hair all over would be a little bit awkward.
I thought Goten was pretty cool too. It's just too bad that he always looked like Goku or Gohan. You know, with the constant resemblance to the clothes and hair.

I miss how it used to be cool too and how you could draw it in class with all your friends because everyone liked it back then. But now, it's more like "uhh, you still watch cartoons?" But I still love the show, even with all the episode-long-power-ups and the endless battles and everything else that made it *special* dork

So far this is awesome do vegeta i'm sure he'll be a little bit more difficult what with his massive head and Widows peak and small but built frame. How would you make his face look less dragonball z'ish and more normal?

I don't think Vegeta would be as hard as Goku. But I will admit that Vegeta's hair would probably look alot weirdier than his. All pointy with so much of his forehead showing. Haha
But I'll probably be doing some more DBZ characters later, so I'll see what hits me.

I liked DBZ a lot, too. I wouldn't say I adored it or think it's the greatest, but it will always hold a childhood love from my heart. 
and back on the DBZ thing-- mostly I'm just ecstatic by all the lulz DBZ has brought to the internet. IMMA CHARGIN MAH LAZER has got to be the funniest thing yet.

I have to admit...DBZ was probably my first obsession.
I pretty much moved from DBZ to Avatar. Not much of a gap in between...
Trunks was always one of my favorites. But just future-short-haired-Trunks. Not the long hair, kid, or GT. Eghh, GT

i dont think that show will ever leave a person specially if it was their first! i started watching that ..omg..right when Dragonball started..i think i was in the fifth grade...the sixth grade?? i dunt know! hah wow soo long ago! but yea i have to indulge in some dbz fanfiction and fanart every once in a while XD

Trunks, Goten, and Marron are like the Zuko, Aang, and Katara of Avatar. Only Zuko and Aang aren't the best of buds.

I like those three but I never really liked GT. Just more of the fan-produced GT and not so much of the show itself. Oh, and Pan, eghh I never liked her. It probably would have watched more of it if Goten had went on that mission with them instead of her.

yea i never actually watched GT...maybe an episode here and an episode here but never got into it....besides they made trunks really..ehh..geeky! the only thing GT was good for was like you said, the fan-produced GT things! personally i was a big briefs fan so my fav character was vegeta and i loved to read fics about the briefs family.
