Background: Applejack was born as a true gonadal intersex child and her parents decided to give her a neutral name to choose how she would identify later. As a child, she struggled with what she preferred to go by, she used to go by male pronouns as thats what most called her at the time and her short hair and incredible strength helped with that perception. As she grew older she preferred being referred to as a female after making friends with Rarity in her teens. While she is okay with male pronouns, she makes clear she prefers to be referred to as female.
She started to get to know Sunburst more after he became affiliated with the school of friendship as vice headmare. He had no place to stay at first, so she offered a spare room for him to stay in for a short while. He quickly became a part of the apple family and while he tried to help, there wasn’t much he could do, but AJ found it endearing and quickly developed a crush on the unicorn. They planned lessons together and enjoyed each others company. When Granny Smith became really ill, AJ decided to step down from teaching and made taking care of her and the farm her priority. Sunburst helped by taking over her class and bringing over care packages whenever he got the chance. Granny knew about her crush and blurted out how they should marry before she got to sick. AJ and Sunburst were quite embarrassed by the comment but Sunburst agreed and they became official. They got married before Granny Smith passed away as she asked, but she never got to see her great-grandchildren. They have three kids who they love very much, and while they are both very busy ponies, they try to make time for them!!

Sorry for long time no post. Ive been really sick recently, so I stopped entirely making stuff. Im feeling a bit better so Im back to posting the ThreadVerse Pones I havent posted yet. My writing skills still need work, but I’m trying hhhh!! Enjoy I guess
