He's doing alright, pretty much the same. They are trying to get some things straightened out with him so we will see in the next few months how things pan out. He still hasn't gotten his voice back yet so we are learning sign language til he does.

It could be a result of his injuries. It happens sometimes after a major traumatic injury. It takes time for things to settle out.

Give it time. The impression I got is that he was hurt pretty badly so it'll take a good while before everything starts to work again.

That could be part of it. Sometimes after a major trauma, the body's systems can be a bit screwed up and it takes time to retrain them to work properly. Give him time and support. He'll get there.
