As I mentioned in an early post a big part of my development has been both having a specific discord friend who has pushed me and offered lots of advice to improvement, but it was also learning to have my work broken down, insulted, and also some helpful critiques pointed out by way of noting legitimate flaws and how to correct them, done by the excellent folks at the /r/pixelart discord community. Few show that as well as this piece I did about a year and a half into learning pixel art of Higgs from Death Stranding. While it's never fun to have your work on anything spoken less of than you'd hope, it's needed to really improve. My highlights were too bright, the perspective and shape was too off, the colors were in some places just wrong, and even in my redo it's not perfect as I was and still am an inexperienced artist. I am thankful to have a community of people that has pushed me to better myself, to study art, and to help me improve even if it's not always fun.
