It's so lovely. The paper color was the right choice hands down. You manage to put that unreadable intelligent glance that most birds have into the picture. It can be hard to do since it could be just one stroke of the pencil that makes the difference. Love it.

Perfectly drawn, correct amount of detail without overdoing it, i love anyone who can draw birds s well, its one thing i struggle with because the feathers are so delecate

Yeah, this is pretty awesome. I just got done with a bird painting, actually, so I guess it's a bit familiar. I really like the strokes of white. They give it alot of depth.

Have you tried pastels? It's a dirtier work to do, but they mix better..

I'm not big on pastels...it seems like no matter how much fixative you use, it always rubs off
I actually do pastels in phases. I've just been more into a colored pencil phase lately

Exactly! I hate that I have to redraw my paintings.. Now I was making a present but after a week it became not that bright, pastels rubbed off.. So I've been thinking about buying a frame first, then fixing it

I'm afraid not yet - everytime I think we're in the clear something breaks (and for the most part it's that damn craptastic PT Cruiser). I'm sorry I've been incognito - I still love that painting - and will still happily buy it.
