For all his double-dealing, conspiring and conniving scheming, Coorta may have been fine with leaving his fellow miners trapped in the dormitories until the Republic arrived while he escaped to Nar Shaddaa with his bounty, but he never wanted them outright dead. Yet as HK announces next, the only reason he's even killing everyone is because Coorta himself leaked knowledge about the Exile. He, along with all the others, died because he got too greedy for his own good and put the Exile's life in danger. And that last part, HK-50 could not allow.
