Yeah, she deserved better than that. In fact, I wish I could walk into that scene and do this to Naraku.

I cried!! I cried and cried and cried! She was SO CLOSE to being free!! Naraku is just SO evil UGH!!! The scene was so beautiful, and it was so depressing that Lord stick-up-his-butt went out of his way to save her with Tenseiga, but couldn't do anything about it. And the fact that he could distinguish her scent from Naraku's was so cute! Too many feelings π: 0 β©: 1
That episode along with Kikyo's death was intense. But, I would say more Kagura's than anything else.
The Final Act was really intense!
Personally, when it comes to shipping, I love Sessh/Kagome. but if we are going with Canon shipping, I think that's where the direction was going.
Kagura was obviously in love with him.
I cried. The tears didn't come out because I wasn't alone in the house, but the emotion was intense in me.
Then I said: Naraku has to die!!!
Sesshoumaru was affected, apparently.

The Final Act was SO perfect!! There was always something major going on, no fills ins.
I actually really like SessKag! They're my guilty "crack ship" haha! They had never crossed my mind as a pairing until I came across an SessKag fanfic, been a fan ever since!
Yes Sesshou was definitely effected. He'd gone through some major character development. So great!

Just read a SessKag fic.
What I love about it so far is that the idea and development is a fresh breath of air. Plus, it's very well- written.

Wow that story was AMAZING!!! I just left the author a lengthy review!! Haha!! They haven't updated in a year and I really hope they do VERY SOON. It was just sooo good!! You're right, it was well written! I immediately added it to my favorites ! I love Sesshomaru's character development. It was very believable! I want to say he was very in character through out the story (especially near the end) but as a child we never knew how he was so I don't know, but the way this story was written has me believing that it would have played out just like that. The scene where Kagome woke up around the camp fire and forgot the "memory" as a "fleeting dream" was very cool. I was not expecting that to happen at all so it was very exciting. I also really like how it is explained why Sesshomaru always says Inuyasha's life is his.
There are so many things I want to say about this story but I feel bad leaving you an essay length comment for you to read lol!

Kagura's ending was just as sad. Maybe even more sad. You captivate her fleeing from Naraku's grasp well.

Kagura! She was always one of my favorite characters from Inuyasha
I love the details of her hair and face - your shading is awesome! And the blood on her chest/shoulder and cheek make the whole thing more believable - she really looks like she just came from a fight ^^ I'm impressed at how you managed to make the kimono she wears look like it's falling off/apart - drawing fabric isn't easy, but yours looks awesome! And the background matches the scene perfectly. I love it!

This is really amazing, IMO, the shading and detail is pretty easy on the eyes. ^^ Love the clouds and all the clean lines in her hair. The blood splotches appear to be overlayed onto the canvas instead her chest, but scrapes and specks themselves are pretty convincing, and what's on the cheek does look like it's attached to the face. Did you make your own brushes for the blood splatter effect, or paint it on from scratch all the way through?
Also, the title makes me wonder, because there's a rock band by the same name as the title, encase you didn't know. XD (Or was that what inspired the title? =-P)

The blood splotches on her chest were made with a brush I downloaded somewhere here on dA... unfortunately I didn't save the page so I can never go back and learn more from the artist 
I had a few other titles I wanted to use for this, like Fleeing the Windscar... but I thought that would have been too much to the point. So I thought of Escape the Fate because of her cursed background story with Naraku, I figured it would give a more broad view of her life in this painting. And yes I did realize it was the name of a band... I just hope it wasn't a cheesy decision
