Description
Finally settled on separating out the first story idea into a number of issues before I assembled it into one big one, so each issue gets a cover. Here's the cover to issue one.Work continues on this story and sets, but I've started rendering it out as I get things done. The idea struck me as one of the rejected moments from the comic I'd had, but figured that'd work as a cover idea though too.

Looking at the cover reminds me of fandomania.com/wp-content/uplo…
Love it and good to see you join the ranks of 3D Star Trek graphic novelist! Can't wait for the release date.

Hah!
Yeah I was going for them being more undead but looking at it later with the title of the series it could look like they're almost worshiping her. The look of horror on her face is appropriate either way.
It'll be slow going as rendering a panel takes 4 hours or so and most pages I've got have at least 5 but I'm kind of breaking it up into about 5 issues I think with a big collected version after.
And thanks!

yeah, the only way to speed up the renders if you are using Iray...is only 1 way. bigger, badder and more video cards.

Yeah I'm currently running a 4 year old laptop with an nvidia geforce gtx 560M with 2GB but when I build my new PC I putting in an nvidia geforce gtx 970 with 4 GB of RAM.
I'm expecting MUCH faster renders.
In about a year when I can afford to build the new PC lol

I think I may have overdone it for an introductory plot, but we'll see.

If you want to talk rough beginnings, read "Gains and Losses":

It went through so many rewrites, I didn't think I'd ever get it written- and the learning curve as far as the art is concerned, is very obvious compared with the later books.

Yeah I'm actually working off what I think is my fifth draft or so. While the overall story is intact I've dropped and changed a lot of the subplots and details, added in more, etc. The next one I'm working on will be shorter. This one ended up being roughly 5 issues and 122 pages.
Next one I'm aiming for half that. But the first one is kind of like the two hour pilots that TNG and there on out started with.

I have rough outlines for at least 12 following this crew, then another 9 or so spread out from TUC through the Dominion War and I keep coming up with more. LOL
Good luck! I'm really interested to see what the story is with everything you've been posting

Well, right now, it's only 9 stories. But depending on how long they end up being, some of them my have to be broken into at least 2 books.
