Wow, default lighting with iRay in Engineering is really bright! Then again, there are giant light fixtures EVERYWHERE in there. I'm definitely toning down the light setting here a bit. The floor metal bump mapping was a pleasant surprise. I think I'm keeping that and extending it into my corridor set up. I've brought the main bridge color scheme over and am applying it all over the 'ship' sets.I'm trying to come up with a bunch of renders that focus a bit on relationships and show off the sets a bit at the same time. In this one we've got our First Officer giving our Chief Engineer a hard time and our alien engineer has had it. I need to tweak his pose a bit and I think I fixed the weird two tone head texture issue. I threw a random crewman in the background since we rarely see Engineering quite this deserted.
So light and pose tweaking but I think overall Engineering may be ready to go after that.
