Description
The Challenger meets up with the Knight Hawk out on the Federation frontier to transfer some cargo and personnel.*****
Did this to give the Liberty a sense of scale versus a ship she might run into, in this case a variant refit of the Constitution. I'd originally loaded up the Enterprise-D to make it look extremely dwarfed but figured I'd keep it in the relative era.

Silly question, is the background a pre-rendered image or part of the main render/program (like a plugin)?

It's a background. I did use it to 'light' the scene as part of the environment map but it wasn't there in the original image until I added it in Photoshop. I'm slowly working my way toward having a 360 degree starfield or dome I can paint these things on.
