Another look at the lab. This gives a better look at the actual science console, well one of them anyway. I toned down the lights a bit as they were washing the render out even more before this. I'm thinking I might need to lower them again, but this is supposed to be a lab.Credits:

Nice. Is the blue lattice floor supposed to be a holographic display of some type? I do not know if you are also a fan of Space Battleship Yamato from Japan. In the series that was shown here in the U.s. as STARBLAZERS, They had a large meeting room that was all dark but then lit up with a large hologram display from the floor, almost wall to wall of starcharts and simulations to discuss possible strategies before they decided what to do. This could be something like that in my mid's eye anyway. It was kinda like Astrometrics from Voyager. I always felt that Voyager with Astrometrics stole the idea from STARBLAZERS.

It was actually swiped from my Destroyer transporter room. They used something like it through TOS like it was 'shielding' of some kind so I decided there should be something there to protect the occupants from any errant radiation or issues from the planetary scanner. Although, on a refit you could put a holo-emitter in the ceiling to display over the floor there.
I never got into Starblazers but I've seen the artwork for it.
