Heh, yeah... silly old clip-shows... otherwise known as "we ran out of time and money, but we still have a slot for an extra episode and need to fill in the time somehow" shows...

I mostly find clip shows to be somewhat lazy, as they're essentially just compiling scenes from previous with quick transitional moments in-between. This is especially prevalent in animated shows as it takes far less time creating new animation. I've never heard of show doing that for a holiday special, but I find the very idea of that (with the possible exception of a New Year's episode) to be kind of insulting.

This is about the Christmas episode, isn’t it? I haven’t seen it yet since the website that I depend on for uploading aired cartoon show episodes in the U.S. hasn’t released it. But I understand how that feels. It’s the same with anime shows that drag out too long with filler stories and flashbacks that wasn’t necessary in its manga form. I’d have to read a mystery story of Sherlock Holmes through my reading hobby in order to watch one annoying filler episode of Naruto Shippuden through Crunchyroll these days.

Yeah. It seems some of the videos on You Tube are just compilations of clips from different episodes of TV shows. (I know there are compilation clips of The Simpsons but I'm sure there are others). These compilations also have titles that don't match their thumbnails.
