Description In Krod's realm (which still doesn't have a name) mages live in seclusion.
Even if they show themselves among common folk, they are very secretive about who they are.
There are many fortresses throughout the realm, where mages practice their art.
These are independent, self-sufficient semi-schools, where people who have affinity to some kind of magic, can apply.
Only a few of them are accepted though, usually the most talented ones.
Some of the fortresses rival with each other too, either to steal each other's secrets, or some other reason.
Different fortresses master in different techniques. One of them is golem-forging.
Golems basically consist of a husk and a heart. Both are varied in shape and material.
The golem husk is usually something heavy and strong, like metal or stone.
The heart is an object infused with magical energy, often a crystal or a gem.

The Quixote-Pattern is a small sized battle golem, much like an infantry in a human army.
They are most suited to work with a short lance, and are well defended against other piercing weapons
and projectiles thanks to their round armor.

Yay there he is! So shiny, round and adorable!

And deadly, probably that too.

I've always loved this concept. It should be absolutely magnificent in your creative hands.

Liking this golem in particular, reminds of the little wind up robot dude from Return to Oz.

Sorry, what concept did you love?
I didn't quite catch you there.

Never seen the Oz movie though,
but I looked it up and man, they share
some characteristics!

ALL OF THEM. But the whole golem creation especially.

Only saw it like, twice, but it's worth a watch for the bizarre imagery if anything.

Hmm, interesting. Based on what is stated on what golems are made of, would alchemists be able to create those as well?

Maybe, but they would need to learn the technique.
And advanced smithing or masonry.
And get a factory from somewhere.
